Last year, I watched an episode of the hospital show New Amsterdam. In it, the Director of the Hospital, who had late stage cancer, passed out with a pulse but not breathing for seven – eight minutes. He was flown to the hospital in critical condition. His wife was talked through doing a tracheotomy over the phone. She stated to the director’s staff and friends that she was really concerned and wanted to pray. But the wife said, she wasn’t very religious and didn’t know how. That’s sad; to want to pray that bad and not know how.
Friends our Lord and Savior, Jesus may have died on that cross, but he left us with a friend (the Holy Spirit) as an interpreter. Never let fear of talking with God stop you from having that communication. He longs for relationship and wants to hear from us about anything. The great thing is, that no matter what we say or how well we articulate it, the Holy Spirit will ensure that message is delivered. So never be afraid to speak with your Father; have that little talk with Jesus. Your message will be received loud and clear.
