Do you know people that no matter what you say, what you do, they just don’t seem to get it? They believe all kinds of stupid crap but won’t believe the truth. They won’t even believe things they see with their own eyes, or hear with their own ears. That is pure blindness. Why? Because they don’t want to believe. They feel they already know and there is nothing anyone can say to change their belief. Spiritual blindness, color blindness, truth blindness, etc. They are in darkness because they refuse to turn on the lights. And when the light is on, they have their eyes closed. Fools, open your eyes!
Matthew 6:22 reads, “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Could it be, that these people want to be blind, want to see and do things their way, want to live a life of darkness? What a horrible life! Trying to hide pain, deceit, sorrow, lies, hate, etc. on a daily basis. Going about your life as if everything is okay. Hurting deeply but refusing to ask for help. Living life alone, except when you allow the darkness within you to come out and be exposed. In Acts 26:18 Paul was sent, “to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.” Jesus doesn’t want any of us to feel and live in darkness. He wants to heal us everywhere it hurts. He wants to care, to love, to provide, to save. Accept the gift of Jesus, the gift of His crucifixion, the gift of His death and resurrection, the gift of salvation and eternal life, with God the Father. Oh, the blood of Jesus!
John 3:3 reads, “Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus Christ has warned us. He gave us His Word so we would know. He sent His disciples to tell all about it. He left the Holy Spirit to guide us. But the choice, is still ours. God will not force us to love and serve Him. In 2 Corinthians 3:16 we read, “but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” If you really want an education in what abundant life is, turn to the Lord. He awaits to show you love beyond understanding. Jesus is, The Light of the World, and in Him, the is no darkness.
Become one of His faithful servants today. Or should I say, become your real self today. In Isaiah 44:18 we learned, “Such stupidity and ignorance! Their eyes are closed, and they cannot see. Their minds are shut, and they cannot think.” We have allowed ourselves to be stuck on stupid. But praise be to God that He never gives up on us. Because of that great love Ephesians 5:8 says, “for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light.” Thank God for another opportunity. Give yourselves away to the only one who can save you. His name is Jesus. Philippians:10-11 says, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Say that name, and allow the Lord to have control over your life. Put you trust in Jesus, while there’s still time. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; my Lord; my God.
