Father God, thank you so much for inviting us into Your family. An invitation to become one in You and Your Son Jesus. An invitation not to be overlooked and the only way to be reconciled with You. Help us to accept this invitation, to be made right in Your sight, forgiven for all the sins we have done, or will do. Lord, we know You are waiting on us. And we make it hard by our continual disregard of this invitation.
Open our ears Lord, to hear the beauty of Your plan for us, whether from Your messengers or from the Word itself. Open our eyes Lord, to see the wonderful Love you have for us, and that You want each of us to be family with You. Open our hearts Lord, with a willingness to overcome the stain of sin in our lives, and to grow in You to become a more loving people.
Thank You for Christmas, which represents the greatest Love of all, Jesus, Your gift to us. Love is who You are Father, and Love is where and what You want us to be. One Love Father God because You call us to be one in each other, one in Your Son, and one in You.
Lord, teach us what real Love is. Help us to understand Love and let it be manifested in our lives today and every day, as our gift to you. To know that Love is action and those who Love are born of You. All glory and honor to You who makes it possible and may Your will not ours be done.
One God and One Love, because You God are Love. Thank You because of Your Love at Christmas, we have an opportunity to be adopted into Your holy family. Love, is where the heart is. In Jesus’s name, amen.
