Climate change is a topic of discussion today because of excessive temperatures, increased natural disasters, and other world events. But some deny it. In the same way, there seems to be increased diseases and illnesses of all kinds. Some deny that too. Man can be in denial all he wants but what the word of God says will come true. In Matthew 24:7-14 the bible tells us, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” The gospel of the kingdom is preached to the whole world, and then the end will come. We know not the day nor the hour, but it seems we are getting close. If we open our eyes and our ears, we can see and hear it for ourselves. Except those in denial. You know, the ones with their eyes and ears closed, the ones that don’t want to see truth or hear truth.
What He told us in His word we see it in Ukraine. We see it in Israel. We see it in Algeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, and Yemen, all in Africa. And how many of us see love growing cold in our own lives and in the world? How many people do we know that have turned away from the faith and have become betrayers? The church is full of fake and phony preachers or false prophets that are going to lead some of us straight to hell. Everyone wasn’t called to be a preacher. There are plenty of other jobs out there to make a good life for oneself and not play with God. If we say we don’t see it happening then we too are in denial, or are just plain coldhearted. Satan is counting on us, but with Christ, we can count him out. We need to pull the scales off our eyes, listen and pay attention, before it’s too late. Ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you, God is Truth.
The bible has more to say about what is happening in the world today. What about all the diseases and illnesses in the world? Billions of people take communion without paying attention to its warning. Most communion devotionals refer to various verses in the bible, a song, and other things that bring significance to the event. But the event is between the individual and God. Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 11:27-32, “So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself. That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died. But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.” Did you get that? Many are weak, sick, and have died because they took the bread and the cup without honoring the body of Christ. They failed the exam. This memorial is a new covenant. And every time we eat the bread (body) and drink the wine (blood), we are to announce the Lord’s death until He comes again. When we deny or fail to honor His body my friend, weakness, sickness, and death results. I’m not saying this is the only reason people get sick and die because many other factors can exist. But the Word, is Truth.
That truth leads me to another truth. God is a God of mercy. The last part of verse 32 says, “… when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.” He will never take His hands off those who belong to Him. John 10:28-29 tells us, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” God is a good God and He will never allow us to perish. He makes a way for us even when we allow ourselves to get outside His will and His warnings. A lot of the dishonor comes because we don’t read the word for ourselves. The only word we get is what preachers or false prophets tell us, and maybe a friend will send us a devotional during the week. That’s only an appetizer. We need to have an entre` and dessert. We need our own bible, and we need to read it, daily. Then we need to use His word to test what’s being told to us by the preachers and pulpit hustlers. Truth is truth.

Wow, tight, but it’s right. This was for me, and a lot more. Thanks for this. Truth isTruth. Good word.
